An inspireU Party Host will be available to assist you with setup, greeting your guests, and cleanup.
Yes! You are welcome to decorate the tables. We ask that you not attach anything to the walls or ceiling. We do not allow pinatas, silly string, or confetti.
We know that balloons are a part of party fun and we love a good celebration! Decorative balloons are now welcome in our Party Rooms when booking a party at inspireU. Ballons must be attached to a tabletop decoration (either fixed to a centerpiece or tied to weights) and stay in the Party Room.
While we allow decorative balloons, we ask that you do not give out balloons as party favors or attach them to the wall or ceiling.
You are welcome to bring in cupcakes/cake (or equivalent), juice or other drinks in a plastic bottle/box, and/or bottled water! We do not allow any other outside food or drink. Please keep all food and drink inside the party room since we do not allow food or drink in the exhibit spaces.
Please make sure that all trash is placed in the trashcan and your party supplies are cleaned up and removed from the Discovery Center. Wipe up any spills or frosting on the floors, tables, or walls. Our Staff will take care of the rest!
Your guests are welcome to stay and play for the rest of the day!
Yes! After you check in for your party, we can meet you at the bus entrance (west side of the building) to open the door for you. We can also provide a cart if you need one!
You are welcome to park in any available spots along the street or in one of several public parking lots nearby. If you need to drop off supplies, you can temporarily leave your car parked next to the Bus Entrance and come to the front to check in. We will assist you with unloading from there!
You can book a birthday party through our website up to 6 months in advance. Please note that you must pay the full amount at the time of your booking for your party to be considered final.
Enter inspireU through our main entrance, 521 Felix St., to the Café/Discovery Store kiosk. Let staff know that you are the birthday family. Our party host will meet you there and take you to the party room to set up.
Meet your guests inside the Discovery Center across from the ticketing kiosks. Once your party is complete, our party host will bring you and your guests to the party room. Late arrivals can check in at the Café/Discovery Store kiosk and will be taken to your party room.
Hosts can arrive up to 20 minutes before the start of the party and will have 20 minutes after the party to clean up.
We are happy to reschedule your party for another open date and time! Cancellations are nonrefundable.
Each birthday party room accommodates a maximum of 30 people. As long as there are no more than 30 people in the room at one time, you can invite as many people as you like! (Admission will be charged for all additional persons after the guest limit for the package you select has been met.) For larger groups, visit our 3rd floor rental page for more information.
There is often a party before and/or after yours, so we cannot adjust the time the day of your party.
You are welcome to invite friends and family to come to inspireU without reserving a birthday party. Tickets can be pre-purchased on our admission page. We recommend meeting at a spot outside the Discovery Center and entering together. Our staff cannot assist in managing your guest list or checking in multiple groups as part of an “unofficial” party.
